Moral of the Greyhound

A greyhound spends its entire life chasing a piece of felt dressed up as a rabbit. Years later in retirement, being taken for a walk and exercise in a park somewhere, it spots a cat, mistakes it for a rabbit and bolts away from it’s owner in hot pursuit. When it finally catches up to the cat, tears it to pieces.

When the owner finally catches up to the greyhound, they find it sitting over the remains of the cat, looking bewildered.

For years, the greyhound’s sole objective was to chase down a rabbit. Now (after many years,) it has achieved that objective (mistakenly). Now it has no idea what to do next. It is lost. Bewildered.

Don’t be the greyhound. Know what you will do next, once you have achieved your goals, dreams, ambition or objective.
